Heroes Chasing Hope is a faith-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit based in Brevard County, Florida. We’re on a mission to Bring smiles, hope, and faith to those that need it most—like CHildren Facing terminal illness, trauma, foster care, and special needs.
Through high-quality superhero costumes, heartfelt interactions, and imaginative experiences, our volunteer team steps into character to create moments of joy and healing. Every smile, prayer, gift, and photo is part of a greater mission: to remind kids that they are never alone—and that hope is still alive.
How It All Began
It all started with a call—to a college student named Daniel Harris.
Asked to dress up patriotically for a Relay for Life cancer fundraiser given his love for the country, Daniel knew he would go in costume as Captain America. He experienced something unforgettable. Children lit up with joy. Parents were moved to tears. And Daniel discovered that something as simple as a costume, combined with faith and love, could create powerful moments of hope.
That day planted the seed for Heroes Chasing Hope. What began as one mission turned into many, as Daniel graduated from college and joined with friends from church who shared the same vision: to bring light into dark places. In time, the dream became a ministry—and now, a growing nonprofit fueled by faith, creativity, and compassion.
Our Mission in Action
We don’t just dress up—we show up. And we believe every child deserves a moment where they feel strong, seen, and loved.
We bring superhero-themed experiences to life in hospitals, schools, foster homes, trauma centers, and more. Our team includes:
- Costumed Heroes who portray beloved characters like Spider-Man, Captain Marvel, and Captain America
- Tactical Field Agents & similarly-dressed Support Staff who manage props, photography, and mission logistics
- Photographers who capture joyful memories and create custom posters and keepsakes
- Faithful Encouragers who gently share words of hope and prayer when welcomed

Daniel Harris
Founder and President
Founder of Heroes Chasing Hope, Daniel leads with bold vision and a servant’s heart. Inspired by his first experience bringing joy to children while dressed as Captain America, he launched HCH to deliver hope, faith, and joy to kids in need. As President, Daniel continues to guide the mission forward with unwavering compassion and purpose.
Kevin Cintron
Vice President
The “brains” of the operation, Kevin handles logistics, planning, and growth strategy with precision and care. A Systems Integration Engineer by trade, Kevin ensures each mission runs smoothly behind the scenes while championing local fundraising efforts in Orlando.
Nancy Kowolik
Director of Marketing and Public Relations
Nancy Kowolik brings a rich background in writing, children’s ministry, and event planning to her role as Director of Marketing and Public Relations at Heroes Chasing Hope. With a gift for storytelling and a deep passion for purpose-driven work, Nancy helps craft the voice of the organization and shares its impact with the world.
Laura Mantooth
Secretary and Photography Lead
A founding member, Laura brings her gifts in organization, photography, and education to the core of HCH. She captures each mission’s most joyful moments through her lens and safeguards the organization through her leadership in legal and administrative roles.

Randy is a creative strategist and entrepreneur who brings his expertise in marketing, branding, and nonprofit development to the HCH board. With a heart for ministry and years of experience launching successful ventures, Randy helps shape the voice, visibility, and growth of the organization.
Tom Cochran

Tom brings decades of leadership and nonprofit governance experience to the HCH board. Known for his insight, steady wisdom, and heart for children’s ministries, he supports the team in building strong foundational systems, ensuring sustainability and long-term impact.
